skoda-felicia-skodafelicia Skoda Felicia is a small family car, that was built between 1994 and 2000. It was based on the older model, Skoda Favorit, and it benefited from Volkswagen’s acquisition of Skoda Auto.

The name Skoda Felicia wasn’t a first for the Czech manufacturer, this name being used before, in the 1960’s, for another model.

Skoda Felicia came in a number of variants:

  • 5-door hatchback
  • 4-door station wagon
  • 2-door pick-up
  • 2-door panel van

As you can see, the Skoda Felicia was built both for families and small businesses that were in need of a small car to carry merchandise. The van version, was also sold in other countries under the name of VW Caddy Pick-Up. The fact that Skoda belonged to VW only helped its image and number of sales in Western Europe.

In 1998, the JD Power Car Survey awarded the Best Manufacturer award to Skoda, in large part due to the Skoda Felicia.

Just one year after the Skoda Fabia was launched, in 2000, the production of the Felicia was ceased.

In the 6 years of production, there were 1,416,939 Skoda Felicia’s built.
