Skoda Roomster
A leisure activity vehicle, the Skoda Roomster was launched in 2006 at the Geneva Auto Show, with the sales starting in June the same year. The Van version of the Roomster is sold under the name of Praktik.
The Skoda Roomster is built at the Kvasiny plant and it’s the first car of the Skoda group that isn’t based on a Volkswagen platform since the acquisition. Its name is a combo between Roadster and Room, which is supposed to give the idea of large space on the road. Some of Skoda Roomster’s competitors are Fiat Idea, Opel Meriva, Nissan Note and Renault Modus.
The Skoda Roomster can be considered a 5 door estate and it comes with the following engines: for petrol it’s 1.2L, 1.4L and 1.6L, while for diesel it’s two 1.4L engines and a 1.9L.
